Meet Carrie

Carrie is a Pennsylvania certified teacher with a Bachelor of Science Early Childhood/Elementary Education degree, as well as a Master in Education Reading Specialist degree. She is trained in Orton-Gillingham through the Institute of Multi-Sensory Education and Connections OGin3D®️ through The APPLE Group. Currently Carrie is pursuing a Certified Dyslexia Therapist certification also through The APPLE Group. With 20 years in Education as a classroom teacher, Reading Specialist, Literacy Coach, and tutor, Carrie has experience working with people with learning differences, such as dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, language processing, auditory processing disorder, autism, ADHD, executive functioning, developmental delays, and deaf and hard of hearing.

Carrie’s passion for literacy and learning led to her founding New Journeys in Literacy LLC as a means to help individuals with and without learning differences soar to new heights in literacy and every day life.
